It’s always a delight when we open a box of samples for our photoshoots. Often, designs were selected months previously. Chosen for looks and style? Yes. But also for quality, originality and a fascinating, authentic backstory. These crewel-work cushions from Samarkand Design do not disappoint. They are beautifully handmade. A decorative panel of neatly hand-embroidered, Indian, crewel-work adorns the front. The reverse is made using sturdy, coordinating cream cotton.

Styling ideas for vibrant, pink and orange crewelwork cushions?

We love the eclectic, ethnic-inspired feel of these cushions. They would be equally at home in either relaxed, ‘boho’ surroundings or smart, elegant drawing-rooms.

The Detail

The cushion measures 45cm x 45cm. Please note the cushions are now supplied without a pipe (see close-up imagery). The plain cotton reverse conceals a discreet zip. The cushion comes with a duck-feather-filled pad. Dry clean only.
