The Product: Decorative hand-painted pot with lid
A decorative hand-painted pot with lid in blue, green and black. Found in an antique & vintage store – no doubt, a holiday souvenir that became unloved – the pot is, sadly, unmarked on the base. However, we were immediately drawn to its unusual shape, scalloped edging and pretty detailing. It has a tagline-like vibe so our immediate thought was that it originated from North Africa or possibly Eastern Europe, but we cannot find anything like it online! Please do advise if you recognise this quirky style of ceramic.
Styling Ideas – quirky decorative lidded pots
Although ‘kitcheny’ in feel, we couldn’t recommend this pot for food storage as we don’t know the provenance. But it’s mighty useful for as a kitchen, entrance hall or home office storage pot for all those bits and bobs you need to gather up but don’t have a spare drawer for! I’m thinking of rubber bands, batteries, paper clips, keys, stamps or similar!
