The Product: White ceramic bird sculptures
Charming, feathered friends by way of handmade, ceramic, bird sculptures. This diminutive bird sculpture has an ethereal, timeless quality in this elegant, all-white glaze. They bring to mind woodland landscapes and British hedgerows and would make a great housewarming gift if you’ve friends who’ve left the big smoke! The Lowdown
Hard to believe then, that these bird sculptures were dreamt up and hand-crafted in tropical Thailand by our favourite Bangkok potter Karin Phisolyabut. Styling Ideas?
‘Bird down’ makes a great addition to any still life display. Show him off in a cabinet, on shelves, along a mantlepiece or sideboard. I’d opt for super-modern, coloured lacquer or metal shelving from Bo Concept or Calligaris to create that all-important tension between natural form and clean, straight lines.
