If ever there was a product more suited to the times we are all living through right now, then this wonderful teal blanket throw with its Nordic ‘Love’ symbolism is it. This ‘love’ bindrune symbol, derived from a thousand-year-old bind rune-making tradition, celebrates sharing our deepest emotion. It invokes passion, devotion and selflessness towards our nearest and dearest.
The Lowdown
The Nordic ‘Love’ (or, in old Norse ‘Ást’) blanket, depicts an original bindrune design, layered and mirrored to create a striking graphic motif that unites mystical Norse tradition with modern, Scandinavian styling. It is a unique, original design from edgy, Reykjavík-based design studio Alrún. Each expressive blanket design conveys a message that inspires and empowers on a daily basis. Indeed through the ages, bind runes were commonly used in many aspects of everyday life. To convey and amplify personal messages, conceal secrets, cast magic spells and create powerful personal amulets.
The blankets are made in the EU and are woven from Oeko-Tex certified 100% New Zealand wool. Dense, wool jacquard makes for a beautifully insulating yet breathable fabric.

The Detail
The teal blanket throw measures 180cm x 130cm and is made in the EU from OEKO-TEX certified, 100% New Zealand wool. To care for your Alrún Nordic wool blanket, follow general guidelines for heavy-weight, wool jacquard fabric. We recommend dry-clean only. Never put your wool blanket in the tumble dryer. To air your Alrún Nordic wool blanket, lay on a flat surface out of direct sunlight, or hang over a large, padded hanger or bar. A curtain rod is the perfect size! Brush your blanket lengthwise with a soft garment brush, in one direction only, to remove pills or superficial dirt. Store your clean blanket in an air-tight bag or container to prevent moth damage.
