Such beautiful colours on this vintage, Indian papier mâché trinket pot: intricately hand-painted detailing in orange, lilac, pink and gold on a black and cream ground. It’s almost inspirational enough for a decorating scheme in itself!

The Detail

The art of hand-painting trinket boxes in this style originally came from the Kashmir region. The glossy black base of this dome-topped vintage trinket box has no back stamp, so it is difficult to date or place but is nevertheless a charming piece for modern & traditional interior styles.
