The Lowdown

The set of six, quintessentially French bowls was sourced from a UK antique market and it was the brilliant blue colour that leapt out at us. The pretty, rustic floral design conjures up images of lazy lunches in the French countryside.

How To Style The Vintage French Bowls?

We’d go fresh and contemporary with our table décor, teaming the pretty vintage bowls with plain, altogether more modern dinner or under-plates, such as the textured, gloss plates shown here in cream. Add in colourful modern glassware and a jaunty striped tablecloth (this one was made from an old Ikea fabric!).

The Detail

The French dishes measure approximately 23cm in diameter each and are available only as a set of six. They are in great condition for vintage plates – no major nicks, chips or scratches – only very minor visible signs of wear. Both designs are back-stamped with their manufacturer’s mark.
