The Lowdown

The simple, graphic pattern was first created as a linocut. Designed in-house at the Rapture & Wright studio, the design was then transferred onto screens, ready for the hand-printing process. A Japanese textile dating from the 18th Century inspired the design. This is hand-printed onto soft, bleached linen. Co-ordinating cushion piping is in plain, ‘String’ linen.

Styling Ideas?

Pair symmetrically on a sofa or bed. Add interest to plain-upholstered occasional or accent chairs with patterned, rectangular cushions. These also provide lumbar support. Check available space to ensure the cushion fits across the back of your seat. High-backed, wing chairs or capacious, modern side chairs are good candidates.

Combine sofa cushions in toning or contrasting fabrics. Layering creates depth and interest. Cushions in this colourway will add prettiness and warmth to a room. Team with bolder, figurative designs on ‘statement’ cushions.

Top tip! Most importantly, you don’t have to dress your sofa solely with supplementary scatter cushions that match the upholstery. These are often optional when buying a fixed-back sofa. Aim for an eclectic look by creating your own ‘cast of cushions.’ Assemble styles from different fabric houses in complementary or contrasting hues. Likewise, think of textural layering. The Detail

The deep pink cushions come in two sizes and a variety of other colourways. The square cushion measures 50cm x 50cm. The rectangular cushion measures 30cm x 50cm. Cushions arrive with co-ordinating, plain piping, a feather pad, and a concealed zip. Dry clean only.
