These rich, golden-hued Japanese style linen cushions provide a warm, earthy take on this distinctive and timeless aesthetic.

The Lowdown

The simple, graphic pattern was originally created as a linocut. It was designed in-house at the Rapture & Wright studio. Then, transferred onto screens, ready for the hand-printing process. An 18th-century Japanese textile inspired the design. The pattern is hand-printed onto soft, bleached linen. Co-ordinating cushion piping is in plain, ‘String’ linen.

Styling Ideas?

Pair symmetrically on a sofa or bed. Add interest to plain-upholstered occasional or accent chairs with patterned, rectangular cushions. These provide lumbar support. Check available space to ensure the cushion fits across the back of your seat. High-backed, wing chairs or capacious, modern side chairs are good candidates.

The old gold Japanese style linen cushions come in two sizes and in various colours. See here for alternative colourways. The square cushion measures 50cm x 50cm. The rectangular cushion measures 30cm x 50cm. Cushions include co-ordinated, plain piping, a feather pad, and a concealed zip. Dry clean only.
