The Product: Wooden inlay wall art
A beautiful, inlaid wooden wall art panel depicting canalside buildings and a woman washing laundry on the banks of the canal. Poplar trees are seen in the background so we would guess this is perhaps somewhere in Mediterranean Europe – possibly Italy, France or Spain.
Styling Ideas – wooden inlay wall art?
This calming, wistful rural scene would be an elegant addition to a study, living room or, more especially, a laundry or utility room. A warm, sunny space would best showcase the different tones and woodgrain of the various kinds of wood used to create this intricate piece of inlay artwork.

The Detail
The inlaid wooden panel measures 40cm tall x 30cm wide and has a simple, metal hook wall fixture for hanging. Unfortunately, there are no backstamps or markings of any kind so this piece is difficult to date or establish any provenance for. It is however a lovely, decorative and unusual vintage piece and is in very good condition.
