The Product: Vintage wall plate with decorative, hand-painted floral design
A pretty, pre-loved and re-found, vintage wall plate with decorative hand-painted floral decoration. This diminutive plate likely hails from the 1970s and from Portugal in the handmade and hand-painted plate tradition of the country, although it is only marked with a number.
Styling Ideas – Decorative Portuguese wall plate
Think Granny chic? Think again! We have a feeling decorative, reticulated (referring to the decorative holes around the edge!) wall plates are going to have a little bit of a renaissance. Singly or (even better) grouped, they create a pleasingly pretty juxtaposition when hung against modern wallpapers. We particularly love this quirky colour combination of yolk yellow, oxblood and violet flowers with green, foliage-inspired décor.
