The Lowdown
We sourced this elegant and eye-catching frame in a Spanish flea market in Valencia. We love the bold and dramatic styling and think the frame would create a brilliant juxtaposition in a contemporary, modern setting. How to style your vintage photo frame?
You’ll need to find a large photo that you can happily cut to size to fit the somewhat non-uniform aperture on the back of the frame. However, don’t be afraid to get creative – as we have done – and use a fabric background to mount a smaller photo. This can really draw the eye and showcase your image. All you need are sharp scissors, adhesive foam pads (try Hobbycraft) and an eye for detail!
The Detail
Only one of these items is available. The vintage photo frame measures 46cm (at tallest point) x 30cm (at widest point). The maximum photo size that would fit the aperture is approx. 22cm x 16cm. The brass backplate is secured by small screws. Take extra care when handling the glass – it is non-uniform in shape and has been cut to fit so may have sharp edges – and also when tightening the screws back down.
