The Product: Vintage indigo cushion with flower circles design

The Lowdown
A hand-dyed, cotton, indigo cushion cover. Originally sourced in China, the cushion would have been produced using ancient, resist-paste techniques and hand-cut patterns to create the finished cloth. The natural processes involved in the cushion’s original manufacture plus the fact this cushion is made from vintage fabric means this item can be considered a sustainable product.

The Detail
Handmade from indigo cotton with a solid, navy blue cotton canvas back, this indigo flower circles cushion cover measures 50 cm x 50 cm. It has a concealed zip and is filled with a Down Feather pad. Authentic, vintage, hand-dyed indigo fabrics will continue to age – much like denim, adding character. Due to their age, fibres may be slightly worn in places. We, therefore, recommend treating with care, hand washing with a gentle soap with warm water, before line drying. Do not bleach.
