The Product: Shibori gathered silk lampshades in indigo
These eye-catching yet delicate, gathered-silk lampshades add textural softness to any living space. Each unique, fabric length is hand-dyed by artisans in India using an ancient, Japanese, tie-dye technique. The finished lampshades are imbued with the Japanese decorative aesthetic.

Elegant, tapered shades in larger sizes work well with slim-necked lamp bases such as ceramic, oriental urns or bottle silhouettes. The smaller sizes team perfectly with simple, candlestick lamp bases. Either way, keep the lamp base simple and unfussy. Allow the decorative pattern to – quite literally- shine!

The Detail
These indigo Shibori lampshades are available in the following size:
45cm (base diameter/widest point) x 29cm (height) x 29cm (across the top). This size of lampshade works best displayed on medium lamp bases (anything from 40cm to 50cm high). These larger lampshades have a duplex fitting designed to go on a shade carrier from 5″ – 7″ (depending on how high you would like the lampshade to sit). Please note which size shade carrier you require – 5″, 6″ or 7″ – in the notes at checkout.
