The Product: Pink and navy lampshades in hand-loomed Thai silk
These drum-style, pink and navy lampshades would make a striking addition to any eclectic room scheme. Delicate detailing with woven stripes in hot pink and orange. The fabric was sourced from a family-run textile mill in Chiangmai in northern Thailand.
The Lowdown
Drum shades such as these provide a gentle, pool of atmospheric light directed up and down, as opposed to a directional task light. They are simply lined with white, fire retardant PVC, to enable the lampshade to glow when illuminated. Use low-energy bulbs to reduce heat generation (40-watt max).
Styling Ideas?
Team these smart, striped lampshades as a pair to flank a sofa, use a single shade to add decorative impact in the corner of your bedroom or sitting room or stand proudly on a hall console to welcome guests. These pink and navy lampshades measure 30cm in diameter x 27cm height (as shown here). All lampshades are handmade to order although we often have new lampshades in stock for immediate despatch. Please note these lampshades showcase unique, handmade textiles and as such, there may be slight imperfections in the print/weave. This is all part of their artisanal appeal.
