The Product: Multi-coloured cushion with Australian Aboriginal art print in Spring green/turquoise

This multi-coloured cushion is handmade from an indigenous Australian Aboriginal art print on linen, teamed with a jaunty, scalloped-edge trim in Spring green and turquoise. The design itself depicts the plants, bush foods and medicines through the changing light of the day and the seasons, central to the ancient, indigenous Australian culture and lifestyle.

The Lowdown

This particular fabric design was created from original artwork by indigenous Australian Aboriginal artist Rosie Ngwarraye Ross. The original canvas was re-scaled for fabric by the specialist art & design studio Bay Gallery Home. The studio supports indigenous Aboriginal communities by ensuring a proportion of sales go back to the artists. Hence, this helps maintain the artists’ connections with their indigenous lands.

Styling Ideas?

Liven up wooden benches, sofas or armchairs with a pair of brightly coloured cushions in Spring greens and turquoise, replete with pretty scalloped edge trims. The Detail

This scalloped-edge, multi-coloured cushion depicting an Australian Aboriginal art print in Spring greens and turquoise is handmade to order within two weeks. The cushion fabric and trim are linen and cotton mixes. The cushion measures approximately 50cm x 50cm (including the scalloped edge trim) and comes with a luxury feather pad.
