The Product: Mexican tin art mirrors in portrait orientation
Add sparkle and cultural heritage to your walls with these stamped, Mexican tin art mirrors, handmade in Mexico. Neat and petite these pretty and unusual mirrors will no doubt invite comment and interest from visitors.
The Lowdown
Sourced a number of years ago from the fabulous Milagros – a brilliant source of Mexican homewares – we used them for display in a previous interior design studio and have since embellished them with mirrored discs at the centre of each rosette to enhance their sparkle factor. Hence, we only have a handful of these mirrors – now effectively vintage – left in stock in either landscape or portrait style.
How To Style Your Mexican Tin Art Mirror
Despite their rusticity and artisanal appeal, these Mexican tin art mirrors add a touch of glamour to bedrooms, hallways or dressing rooms with their ornate, intricate design in a silvery tin and the addition of reflective, mirrored discs to the floral rosettes. Hang between architraves in a landing or hallway, for a last glance before you head out to face the world!
The Detail
The portrait, tin art mirror measures approximately 46cm wide x 86cm tall (to the tips of the metal décor). Please note due to their handmade nature these mirrors have sharp metal edges and must, therefore, be kept away from little hands! Please note also that these stamped tin mirrors are for indoor use only and are not suitable for bathrooms or damp areas. Wherever they are hung, moisture in the air will cause a level of oxidization over time as the zinc reacts with the atmosphere. However, we feel this lends them rustic appeal and only adds to their handmade charm.
