These drum-style, mauve lampshades would add soft, pretty colour to any room scheme. Delicate, multi-coloured, vertical, stitched detailing with wide bands of crisp white and mauve cotton. The fabric was sourced from the textile markets of South East Asia.

The Lowdown

Drum shades such as these provide a gentle, pool of atmospheric light directed up and down, as opposed to a directional task light. Simply lined with white, fire retardant PVC, these mauve lampshades will glow when illuminated, throwing the stitch detailing into sharp relief thereby creating a different pattern come nightfall – as well as pastel colour by day. Use low-energy bulbs to reduce heat generation (40-watt max).
