A London wall art print depicting Tower Bridge, the towering dome of St. Paul’s Cathedral, and the capital city’s famous Ferris wheel – the London Eye.

An exercise in Victorian Gothic architecture, the bridge design was intended to complement the style of the nearby Tower of London, a design decision not particularly well-received at the time of its construction. The bridge was commissioned and built due to overcrowding in the East of the city when a bridge across the Thames seemed a necessity. The bridge was designed by Horace Jones and John Wolfe Barry and was completed in 1894.

This fine art print also captures the detail and elegance of one of the city’s most famous Baroque-style churches. An instantly recognisable London landmark, St.Paul’s Cathedral was designed by Sir. Christopher Wren, built in the late 17th century and formed part of the major rebuilding programme that took place in London after the Great Fire of 1666.

Opened on December 31st 1999, the Millennium Wheel, or London Eye as it’s more commonly known, has become the focal point of London’s annual New Year’s Eve celebrations and fireworks spectacular, centred around Big Ben at the Houses of Parliament and the South Bank of the River Thames. It was originally built as a temporary structure, to usher in the new century, but its commercial success as a tourist attraction, offering incredible views of the city, has seen it made a permanent fixture. Europe’s tallest Ferris wheel, the structure is 443 feet (135 m) tall with a diameter of 394 feet (120 m).

Styling Ideas?

Need framing advice? We’d suggest a slim, white frame with subtly visible woodgrain and a white card mount, if you wish the frame to disappear – say, against a white wall – and the print to stand out. Equally as effective is the same style of frame in black, also teamed with a white card mount, to outline the drawing and act like bold, precise punctuation! The third option would be to go for a softer, warmer effect with a natural or stained wooden mount. All three will work beautifully, depending on the backdrop, and the look you want to achieve.
