This look is inspired by a framed, Kenyan Maasai necklace with exquisite beadwork in primary brights. The vibrant colours informed our selection of vintage, pre-loved and re-found items to team with the necklace wall art, for a colourful, still-life display that would be ideal for a dining room sideboard or console.

What’s Included?

Framed Kenyan Maasai beadwork collar necklace: measures 68cm x 45cm x 3cm projection; pre-loved, in excellent condition bar a few, tiny, escaped white beads in the bottom of the frame (invisible when the frame is wall-hung). The mount behind the necklace is of a soft, subtle, putty grey colour and the frame is black.

NOW SOLD 5 x green glass bottle vases: measure 14cm x 7.5cm diameter; pre-loved, in excellent condition. Perfect for dotting down a long dining table with flowers (a froth of Gypsophila in each perhaps).

Blue, pressed glass boat-shaped vase: measures 21cm x 10cm x 9cm; vintage, excellent condition, comes with internal flower holder for easy flower arranging. Team with the green bottle vases for a glowing, coloured glass, dining table display (blue and green should ALWAYS be seen!)

Stripy blue, brown and white pottery planter: measures 13cm x 11cm diameter; pre-loved, excellent condition. We popped a pretty Maidenhair fern in it.

Tall, blue, cut-glass vase: measures 50cm x 14.5cm diameter; vintage, excellent condition. A real show-stopper. Suitably weighty and brilliant for supporting taller blooms such as Delphiniums, Bells of Ireland or Gladioli, as here.

Yellow-glazed, terracotta planter: measures 16cm x 18cm diameter; pre-loved, good overall condition (a happily lived-in appearance due to some tiny imperfections in the glaze/signs of wear). We styled this bold, colourful planter up with a striking Calathea or ‘Prayer Plant’ (given the nickname as the leaves fold up at night, opening up again in the early morning to catch the sun’s rays).

N.B. The wooden desk/sideboard shown in this vignette is not available to buy. However, any dark wood surface such as antique mahogany or even a modern, black woodgrain would successfully ground this look. The closest wall paint match would be Slaked Lime (105) by Little Greene.

Any furniture items featured in our interior vignette series (and stated as available to buy) can currently be delivered anywhere within London, Greater London, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire or Oxfordshire within our normal delivery window for an additional £25 fee (applied at checkout). Outside of these geographical areas, please email us, and we will assist with a courier delivery quote.
