The Lowdown

This elegant, deep pink silk Ikat lampshade from the Rosanna Lonsdale range was created using hand-dyed fabric that is woven in Uzbekistan to ancient textile designs. Lampshades are then made up in London by hand.

Pattern placement varies between lampshades – this is the eclectic nature and charm of Ikat fabrics. Indeed Ikat patterns were traditionally mixed and displayed alongside one another to create an exotic, vibrant display, rich in colour and pattern. Styling Ideas?

The larger-sized, statement lampshades are great for adding interest by punctuating the ‘room scape’. They inject colour and a shapely silhouette.
