The Product: Brutalist architecture prints London
You won’t find many Brutalist architecture prints that contain all four of London’s most iconic Brutalist buildings. Here, the Barbican, Trellick Tower, the National Theatre and Hayward Gallery converge in a wondrous Brutalist fantasy of hard lines and concrete. While all but one are entertainment venues on the Southbank, Trellick Tower serves as a tower block on the Cheltenham Estate in Kensal Green.
The Lowdown
A signed Giclée, these Brutalist architecture prints are printed on the highest quality acid-free light-fast archival 300gsm Minuet Cotton Rag. The heavyweight etching board is velvety smooth with a fine surface texture and is one of the most widely used media worldwide for artwork and photography. Using pigment-based UltraChrome and Ultra Violet (UV) inks, the Giclée printing process ensures superior detail, colours and longevity. The print comes unframed and is delivered in a cardboard tube for you to take straight to your local framer.
Styling Ideas?
Need framing advice? We’d suggest a slim, white frame with subtly visible woodgrain and a white card mount, if you wish the frame to disappear – say, against a white wall – and the print to stand out. Equally as effective is the same style of frame in black – as here – also teamed with a white card mount, to outline the drawing and act like bold, precise punctuation! The third option would be to go for a softer, warmer effect with a natural or stained wooden mount. All three will work beautifully, depending on the backdrop, and the look you want to achieve. If you want to include this drawing as part of a smart gallery wall or eclectic grouping of artwork and photography – go for the smaller A2 version which measures 594 x 420mm.
