The Product: Black and white lampshades in vintage silk
Create a gentle glow come evening with these exquisitely pretty black and white lampshades. The shades are handmade from vintage Indian saree silk. The pattern depicts delicate outlines of florals and botanicals in black on an ivory ground. The silk was sourced by Indian textiles specialists Samarkand Design and the lampshades are exclusive to Telescope Style.

Elegant, tapered shades work well with slim-necked lamp bases such as candlestick bases similar to this one we used from Nordic Nest. In addition, slender bottle or urn-shaped silhouettes also work well. Above all, keep the lamp base plain and unfussy. Allow the patterned, gathered silk to be the star!
