The Product: Small upholstered stool in blue banana leaf print
This stylised, small upholstered stool in a zingy blue banana leaf print is redolent of traditional African wax prints. However, it feels fresh and modern. The print was designed by African textiles specialist Eva Sonaike and is a scaled-down version of the cushion design here. The leaf print was inspired by specimens at the Aburi Botanical Gardens in Ghana, West Africa.
The Lowdown
These small upholstered stools are great accents for your living room and are easily stowed. They are lightweight with petite proportions. In addition, they are useful as quick additional seating. Alternatively, they work well as an impromptu side table when topped with a small tray. We can vouch for that fact that they are also extremely comfortable to sit on.
Styling Ideas?
First, this pattern is a hit for summer sitting rooms or homes in sunnier climes. Team with a riot of brights for a decidedly Boho vibe. Alternatively, this colourful, small upholstered stool will work brilliantly beside a mid-century modern, tan, leather sofa or perhaps a buttoned Chesterfield. Moreover, the tropical leaf print itself has a retro vibe. Try Vinterior for retro Scandinavian and vintage sofas.
